Seven working days before the start of the new month, the integer value of the monthly EGIX® (THE) is used.
To do this, please enter the following in the table:

Trading Day: Your desired date
You can then view the average index value for the respective area on the chart.
Explanation of the calculation
Formula:
Difference between EGIX® and base value x calculation factor = €/tonne
Sample calculation:
(April: 2026)
EGIX® value = €52.77/MWh: €52.77 – €45.00 (base value) = €7.77 x €2.65 MWh/tonne (calculation factor) = €20.59/tonne
= €0.02 /kg+ yield/cut surcharge (calculation factor: 0.8)
Total surcharge from GHZ:
0.02 /kg ÷ 0.8 = €0.03/kg

The glassworks surcharge effective April 15, 2026 is €0.03 per kilogramm.
