Our glass solutions are highly complex products – and they have to go through many processing and transport steps before they are finished. We use state-of-the-art equipment, but our employees play an essential role in our worker self-checking process.
Extensive checks are carried out, from the glass being cut to the final processing step before the pane or module is packed. The test characteristics and intervals are customised for each workplace.
Our laboratory in Wernberg: Glass solutions endurance test
In our in-house laboratory in Wernberg, our materials and glass solutions are severely put through their paces – for example, to test the resistance of our bullet-proof glass or the protective effect of our insulating glass.
– Product approvals – Product certifications – Strength / resistance tests – Fracture pattern recordings – Further tests in cooperation with renowned partner institutions, including customer-specific tests
We live first-class quality – in everything we do. Values such as safety, efficiency and a sense of responsibility towards people, the environment and resources are particularly important to us and we continuously monitor compliance with them.
Continuous improvement process (CIP) – Regular monitoring of all processes – Root cause analysis & immediate action in case of failures/complaints – Planning long-term actions – Workshops for more far-reaching problems
Product audits – Checks for compliance with the quality characteristics defined in the specifications – Random audits – At various stages of production
Process audits – Detailed investigation of specific manufacturing processes or plants – As part of monthly management control rounds
Our objective: Identify problems early and take appropriate steps to achieve a sustainable level of quality. Also: highlight good solutions and transfer them to other areas (“best practice”) and check measures for effectiveness and sustainability!
